They wanted drawings that reflected the superior construction of their products done in a minimalist, graphic style. Maximumedia Design Magazine Whats New FeaturePatrick and I were featured in the "What's New" section of Lafayette Magazine this month and are happy to present the article here! Although the picture looks as if our Health textbook from middle school zapped us into the future - to make sure you're brushing your teeth and all, the feature does shed light on the illustrious first meeting where we met through John Christopher (see prveious post) working on an aschcan comic for Comicon. For the utmost in character design and digital painting, this is the cat to talk to. Recently involved in a Witchblade™ comic book cover, a Dungeons & Dragons™ Manual and several ongoing projects involving high end concept and cover art, John certainly has his hands full.

So, we ran a few numbers, and have been checking many reports on some of our sites and everything is tracking great in 2010. One of the things we weren't expecting were how well many of our Facebook fan pages, Myspace apps and upload files were tracking. In case you didn't know, fan pages and apps can help with retention. If you offer new content in the form of status updates or xml feeds, your app serves as a direct line between your clients and you.

We have observed similarities with many of the blogs we have developed recently, including "Indiana's Favorite Blog." Once subscribed, as long as you are posting relevant content and attending it with interesting images, you can expect your blog to grow exponentially as well as rise in the analytics department.

In less than a year, we have nearly 4,000 fans of our Lafayette, IN page. This helps our clients and us since we can post local business news and have immediate access to a large volume of interested subscribers/fans.

Case #2 : Myspace Apps

Being able to post new music and have it go out to a dedicated base of fans who have added your app is a pretty incredible way to let people know what you're doing. This has the added benefit of going out to anyone viewing their page. Typically, if their friends find the app interesting, they will add it as well. The effect is viral.

After a year on files that are not actual content, we have seen great returns through our careful tagging of music files. Couple the download rate of each file with a comparable royalty rate and this makes for a great revenue stream for uploading files and tagging them creatively. Multiply this by the number of stock photo and music sites out there that offer nonexclusive agreements and you can start collecting the checks almost immediately.
